Hello and thanks for stopping by. As someone who lives in Dorset, I’m still taken aback by the lovely countryside and coastline of this lovely county. While I’ve visited some parts of Great Britain I’ve still got alot to cover.
I thought I’d try and express this post in an infographic which I haven’t attempted before. For the subject I thought I would write about something I know and which I love – Dorset.
I’d love to know a little fact about your local area and maybe feature them in a roundup post.
Wow, there is so much to see and enjoy! I’m from South Africa, so I would have no clue about Dorest, however it does look like a wonderful place to visit! #KCACOLS

As a Canadian, I’d love to visit England someday. Waving at you from the west coast here!
Thats great Bonnie, big wave back to you from the south coast of England.
Fab infographic well done! I remember my parents telling me that Dorest was the home of the Jurassic Coast when I was a kid, I thought it would be scattered with T,Rex skulls ha ha. Some interesting facts thanks for sharing with #PuddingLove
Congratulations, this post was among the most clicked on The Bloggers Pit Stop. Be looking for a feature on Friday.
Oh that’s brilliant:) thanks so much Kathleen X

Wow I wouldn’t want to be a first time bier in Dorset. I had no idea about the chilli or Alan Carr for that matter. I did spend a few summers in Dorset as a child so I know it is a lovely place! Thanks so much for linking at #KCACOLS. Hope you can come back again next Sunday xx
There are some lovely places on Dorset! Have to admit that every time I see the Jurassic Coast sign, I slightly expect to see a stegosaurus, though. I know it says Jurassic Coast, but I just see ‘Jurassic Park’! #mg
And quite right too:) it’s the image that still pops into my mind the second I see it written down:)
The infographic is great – I’ve never thought of doing one before! I can sympathise with the house prices, I’m in Aberdeen where it is really high too #KCACOLS
Blooming heck the house prices are high then aren’t they. I love Dorset, it’s so beautiful x #KCACOLS
Yeah bloomin high! Difficult to get started on the housing ladder.
Wow, looks great. Lots of interesting facts. My husband would love the chillis. I swear his mouth has an asbestos lining, he eats such hot & spicy food! #KCACOLS
Well I didn’t know there was a Dorset chilli, let alone an amazingly hot one! Great infographic! x #KCACOLS
Great info graphic! Who knew Dorset had a flag! And a chilli! I might do one of these for my home town of Nottingham; the town where Ibuprofen was invented! There you go-a little fact for you! 😉 #KCACOLS
Wow, I never knew where Ibuprofen was invented…..thankyou!;)
Dorset is full of fun places to visit and great things to do. the coast always looks beautiful too #KCACOLS
Wow! Awesome to meet you. Thanks for stopping by my blog, gave me an opportunity to find yours. I’m in Scotland, but Dorset looks like an great place. Will definitely put on my list of places to visit. 🙂
Lovely to meet you too, I’ll be stopping by your blog more often:) thanks for your comments x
You did well with the infographic. Lots of interesting information that gives us a better idea of where you live.
Thanks Kathleen x
Lovely infographic….fairly sure Perrie Edwards from South Shields though, bizarre? Anyway, I love Dorset, haven’t been in ages though and now I want to, ha! Thanks so much for sharing with the #bestandworst and hope you’ll stop by again.
You are right Helen! I got fooled as Weymouth talks about her alot. She went to school there for a couple of years….I’ve changed it now! Thank you:) Mainy xx
What interesting facts about where you live!!
Sometimes our own backyard can be a treasure of loveliness!!
We live in a suburb of Denver, Colorado right outside the mountains and have the most beautiful sunsets—just watched it last night!

Oh wow, that sounds like a wonderful view:)
Well you had me from the get go – I LOVE Dorset and we’ve spent lots of weekends and breaks there. My favourite place and possibly in the world is Durdle Door. That walking down the hilly bit and then it appears! Also I didn’t know what the Dorset flag looked like ( I see the Devon and Cornwall ones all the time). There is something magical/mystical/alluring about Dorset for sure. #brilliantblogposts
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Durdle Door is beautiful and the walks around the area are great x
Oh i never knew any of this about Dorset! I always thought all the hot chilli’s where shipped in from other countries! I love learning and exploring places full of myths and legends 🙂 Thanks for linking up to #puddinglove
